Molly McLeese is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago (DASC). She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. She then graduated from Illinois State University with her Master of Science degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. During her master’s program, Ms. McLeese completed her clinical practicum at the DeWitt County Human Resource Center, where she provided individual counseling, led substance abuse groups, and conducted crisis assessments. While at ISU she also led weekly Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups for adolescents and adults.

Prior to joining DASC, Ms. McLeese served as the Intake Coordinator and Staff Therapist for a private practice. While there, she provided initial intake calls to match clients with therapists, supervised the intake team, and led staff trainings. In addition, Ms. McLeese conducted clinical assessments and provided individual, family, and couples counseling. She also led a DBT/ACT Skills group for adolescents, in which she taught techniques such as mindfulness and radical acceptance. 

Ms. McLeese is passionate about providing therapy for concerns related to anxiety, depression, addiction, grief/loss, life transitions, and difficulty in relationships. Ms. McLeese provides therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
