Emma Schwartz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Government from Cornell University. Ms. Schwartz then obtained her Master’s of Science in Service Administration from Case Western Reserve University, where she was a Mandel Leadership Fellow for Evidence-Based Practice.
Ms. Schwartz has several years of experience working with diverse populations in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, social service agencies, and mental health clinics. Ms. Schwartz has significant experience providing individual and group therapy to those with chronic heath and pain conditions, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and personality disorders, as well as a variety of relationship, bereavement, and transitional issues. Prior to joining DASC, she worked as a Staff Therapist for PEER Services, providing clinical services to individuals with severe substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
Ms. Schwartz takes a relationship-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative approach to therapy. Ms. Schwartz engages in evidence-based practices, with a focus on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. She is committed to continuously improving her practice through ongoing training, supervision, and consultation.
